Sorry it has been a while since I posted a blog.

As some of you know, Jim and I are expecting a baby soon. She has been trying to arrive early and we have been trying to get her to stay put for just a couple more weeks.
I just wanted to inform everyone so that if you stop by or call the studio and no one is there, you'll know what is going on. Feel free to leave a message on my voice mail and one of us will get back with you ASAP.

I'm still booking appointments though I may have to call you to reschedule if the baby decides to make her early appearance.
We are hoping that all will go well and Jim or I can be at the studio during regular hours from here on out.

Thank you for your patience and understanding...here is a little preview of our baby's ultrasound for you to enjoy. She even gave us a little smile...she's ready for the camera!

Sincerely,
Cindy and Jimmy Artrip

Photo Of the Week

The Newsome family was such a pleasure to work with. The girls have such captivating little personalities! And the baby was so sweet and adorable. I chose this as our picture of the week because it shows the sweet emotion, concern, and love that the girls have for their new baby brother. This little guy is very lucky to have two big sisters to help care for him the way that they do.

I definitely want to thank this family for giving me the opportunity to capture these precious moments for them. I appreciate the fact that they are the newest members of our "Beautiful Baby" Plan. I look forward to providing them with many years of beautiful memories! Thank you and God Bless!

Picture of the Week

This little Lady was so much fun to photograph! I love capturing the sweet innocence of a precious little baby. She was all smiles during her session. This photo, which was the last one I shot during the session, captured her beautiful eyes and tender look as she was trying to see what her Mommy and Daddy was doing....(Perhaps getting a bit tired as well). She was such a trooper. I truly enjoyed photographing her and can't wait until our next session!

Photo Pro Expo and Print Competition

I got got back from Photo Pro Expo and Regional Print Competition. It was a busy week of classes from some of the best photographers from all around the country. I must say I am rejuvenated and excited about all of the new ideas that we shared. It was a truly inspiring experience.

Pictured above are the prints that I entered in the competition. I'm proud to say that each of them earned a Gold Acceptance Corner and a Ribbon. They will also soon be featured on the KYPPA website along with other award winning prints from all around the region.

A big thank you to all of those who wished me luck! God bless you and I look forward to all that the new year brings.

Just wanted to let those of you who have kids that were in the May Valley Elementary Homecoming know that the pictures have arrived. I am still waiting on the group shots but they should arrive in just a few more days. Here is a quick preview of how nice they turned out. I should have them delivered to the school by Monday, January 25th (giving that we don't get more bad weather).

Happy New Year!

Wow, I didn't realize it had been so long since I updated my blog. So much has happened.
First off let me say thank you for making 2009 a huge success! We have lots of exciting plans for 2010. We will be adding some new backgrounds and props and costumes. And we will also be adding a new member to the Artrip family...Yes! We are expecting our third child in June!

My plans for the business include lots of advertising, going the extra mile to make your experience at our studio a unique and enjoyable one, and providing you with the most exceptional quality possible!

This year we will be introducing a new "Grow with me" plan. We have been offering baby plans that take you through your baby's first year of life but we don't want to stop there. We want you to keep coming back! I also want to start a big "Generations" promotion. It is so important to have pictures made with all of your loved ones...including the Grandparents. Grandparents play such an important role in our children's lives. Why not have some lifestyle portraits that reflect the beautiful bond between you and your extended family?

Also, this year we are going to try to incorporate location sessions into our schedule. We will pick a day or two per month to go on location (a local park, or lake) to do outdoor sessions.

This is sure to be an exciting new year!
